Hobby Farming

On my small-scale hobby farm, I spend a lot of weekend time working with equipment and learning the ins and outs of land care. I've been getting more experience using and maintaining my 1980s tractor and various implements—like brush hogs, tillers, harrows and plows—for mowing, field prep, and general upkeep. I am currently growing corn and potatoes, experimenting with different planting methods and soil conditions to improve yield and health. A lot of my focus is on understanding how to manage small fields efficiently, keep equipment running right, and make the most out of limited space. From mowing pasture to prepping new planting areas, I’ve been teaching myself how to take care of the land with a practical, hands-on approach.
